Two conversations changing one file undo each other's work. Ask what it is changing first: peer_ask with its id (it isn't interrupted). Then either leave the file to it, or re-read it and make your edit again — this warning is given once per file.

Paused an edit to weather.py: another Claude tab has uncommitted changes there (“Refactor fetch layer”). Claude was told who to ask.

Yes — I'm moving its HTTP calls into fetch.py, so get_weather() is changing under you. Add the units parameter to fetch.get_current() once I've committed; weather.py will only pass it on.

The warning comes once per file. If Claude still needs the change, it reads the file again and its next try goes through. Once the other tab commits the file, nobody holds it any more.

“Refactor fetch layer” is changing weather.py and fetch.py, so I'll ask it before I touch either.

When Claude lists the other tabs, each one shows what it was last asked and the files it edited in the last hour, so Claude can keep clear of them before it starts.
