The quick terminal is a shell in your project's folder that ⌃` shows and hides. Use it for a quick command without leaving your tab, and move it into a tab when you want to keep it.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”Choose where it opens
In Settings ▸ Window, “Quick terminal (⌃`) opens as” picks a floating window (the default), a centered overlay, or a bottom panel under the editor. You can drag the bottom panel taller, and a click outside the centered one hides it.
Each project has its own shells
The quick terminal belongs to the project you’re in. Pick another project in SESSIONS and it shows that project’s shells, in that project’s folder. Switch back and yours are where you left them.
Hiding it doesn't stop anything
⌃` only hides the quick terminal. A server or test run you started keeps going, and what it printed meanwhile is there when you bring it back. To close a shell, type exit or click the ✕ on its chip.
